JMP Tackle Shop - AttleboroughVisited: 24th May 2008
Further Details: Norfolk Fishing Life - JMP Tackle Shop Details

JMP Tackle can be found on a busy little industrial estate close to Attleborough. It appears to sit in between a lawn mower unit and another unit for fixing cars, in some ways it does seem to be a little out of keeping situated here, but don’t let its location put you off.

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

Zig GreorekCongragtulations to Zyg Gregorek (not spelled Zig) for being haled as the ‘World’s Greatest Fisherman‘ by Rob Kramer, President of the IGFA.

I smell of Fish

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

So my wife informs me…so that can only mean one thing - yes I did catch some fish!! All Carp, and a right old selection from what I could tell. I could have both laughed and cried at my totally amateur antics at times, but hey, I never claimed to be a pro and this was my first time at the venue. Most importantly of all, I had a ball! Walnut Farm Fisheries provided me with a great few hours of fishing.

Well a proper review will be forthcoming, but I need to shower now, so it will probably be tomorrow evening.

I’m Off Fishing!!

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Right, the day has finally arrived! The car is packed, the gear loaded, licences bought, bait re-stocked - Walnut Farm Fisheries here I come. The weather is not quite what I had imagined, it is very windy and I would have preferred a calm, still evening. But hey, I will be fishing and that is all that matters.

I shall give you an update on my return!

Brolly is in the Bag!

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Panic over - the brolly is in the bag! Fortunately I remembered lending it to my brother when he went camping, so guessed it was probably in ‘the shed’ *. Sure enough, tucked away and covered in cobwebs and a few resident spiders there it was. I did not dare at this stage try it out, I did not fancy being showered in creepy crawlies.

So, Wednesday night is fast approaching! Woo hoo…getting excited now!

* I think everyone must know about ‘the shed’, it’s that thing in the garden that you most dread to go in as it never quite feels that humans are really intended to use them - just the wildlife.

Missing Fishing Umbrella

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Doh! I could not work out why the rod case was so light, there is no fishing brolly in it! It would be foolish to go fishing in this country without an umbrella. Hhmmm…I wonder why it is not with the rest of the kit?

Looks like I have some investigating to do. Hunt the brolly!
